Tomáš is attorney-at-law registered with the Czech Bar Association. Tomáš graduated from Palacký University Olomouc (Master of Law degree) and studied laws of war at the University of Graz. He then attended post-graduate program focused on European Economic Law and Foreign Trade at Europa Institut, Saarland University (Master of Laws degree). Apart from providing legal services in Czech and English, he also understands Polish and German.
In 2011-2015
Tomáš worked as a lawyer in a leading Czech law-firm BBH, participating in both contract law projects as well as in dispute resolution cases. In BBH, his work concerned:
- representation of a major telecommunications client before the Competition Authority as well as in connected civil proceedings;
- a number of civil and administrative law cases;
- criminal liability of legal persons;
- investment protection and bilateral investment treaties;
- conctractual counseling, M&A etc.
In 2016-2017
he was a General Counsel in Česká televize, a public broadcast company. He changed both the structure and manner in which legal services were provided in the company, set compliance in a number of areas and re/negotiated the company’s most important agreements.
He also defined and set in motion a process of complex redrafting of company’s contract templates.
Tomáš led provision of in-house legal service by twenty lawyers in various fields, including copyright law, public procurement, labor law, trademarks, business contracts and related disputes, etc.
Since 2018
Tomáš provides legal services as an independent attorney.
He has successfully navigated many clients through their divorces and related cases, represented multiple clients in high-profile self-defense cases, and has been providing ongoing contractual and dispute advisory services to entrepreneurs and small enterprises.
Tomáš is also active in the field of legislation. He is a member of the expert working group of the Ministry of the Interior on the preparation of new arms legislation and also an expert advisor to the Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Defense of the Czech Parliament Ing. Pavel Růžička.
